Personal Statement |
- The Honorable Dana Mitchell Jaffe has served with distinction on the Nassau County District Court bench for the past twelve years. She was initially elected in 1996 and re-elected in 2002. In 2006, Judge Jaffe was appointed an Acting County Court Judge and presides over criminal matters. Judge Jaffe was rated “well qualified” by the Nassau County Bar Association. Judge Jaffe has previously served as vice-president of the New York State District Court Judges’ Association, treasurer of the Nassau County District Court Judges’ Association and Board of Directors of the Nassau Lawyers’ Association. Judge Jaffe has been a recipient of the Fidelis Juri Award from the Court Officers Benevolent Association of Nassau County. She has also volunteered with the Nassau Academy of Law by assisting the future of the legal profession with their annual moot court competition. In addition to Judge Jaffe’s dedication to the bar, she is active in her community. She serves as a board member of the Metropolitan Youth Orchestra of New York and EAC Child Care Advisory Committee. Judge Jaffe would be honored to continue serving the citizens of Nassau County.
