Personal Statement |
- I have been an Acting Supreme Court Justice presiding in Richmond County Supreme Court since January 2006. I have a civil caseload and have tried numerous jury cases to verdict. I also sit in Criminal Court on weekends in the arraignment part. Previously, I had been elected in November 2002 to New York City Civil Court and was also a court attorney to Justice John Leone and Justice Eric Vitaliano. Prior to working in the court system, I was a trial lawyer involved in complex tort litigation for the law firm of Julian and Schlesinger. I had attended Rutgers College of Pharmacy and practiced pharmacy for five years before attending New York Law School.
I have been married 22 years to Michael McMahon and we have two children, Joseph,19, who is currently a sophomore at the University of Notre Dame and Julia, 16, a junior at PolyPrep in Brooklyn.
