Candidate Biography
Personal Statement |
- Although the Hudson City Court is small, its impact on daily lives cannot be underestimated. This is where a young person may resolve a first brush with the law, a senior citizen pursue a Small Claims case, and serious crimes are addressed. All of these disputes affect the parties involved, and the quality of life for all Hudson residents. The right person for Judge is someone who can be fair, compassionate and firm in balancing interests, and who will treat all people in this diverse community with the respect they deserve. I am that person. A life-long Hudson City resident, and the only candidate living in the city limits, I have practiced law in Hudson for 29 years. An active community volunteer, I have coached over 20 youth sport teams, organized 5K benefit runs and golf tournaments, and served on the Boards of the Hudson City School District, Columbia Memorial Hospital, Columbia Children’s Foundation and the Second Show. Through this community service, I know this community’s strong and weak points. I promise to use that understanding to best serve all involved. I would be honored to serve as Judge of the Hudson City Court, and continue serving my community.
