Candidate Biography
Personal Statement |
- I have been an attorney in Syracuse for twenty-eight years. I have practiced law in court rooms across our county that entire time. I am the only candidate for election to this seat that can say that. I have also represented the State of New York, and have served frequently as a Special Prosecutor.
I believe that, to be a good judge, one must have "learned by doing" . I have stood by hundreds of clients, throughout the last 28 years, who were frightened, or in distress, seeking justice.
People do not find themselves in a court room by choice. Circumstances have brought them there. I have sought to advocate for those people. In so doing, I have developed skills in advocacy, the argument of motions and legal briefs, and have presented many matters to good judges and juries across our county. I have seen first hand the need for judges who are skilled, compassionate and fair. Not everyone leaves a courtroom feeling that they "won the battle", but each participant has the right to feel that they have been treated fairly and impartially, and that the proceedings have been conducted by a jurist who is skilled and experienced.
I will be Firm and Fair. I ask for your vote.
