Candidate Biography
Personal Statement |
- I perceive a great need to improve Family Court. This Court is of the highest importance. It's job is to safeguard our children. I have practiced in Family Court representing parents & children (as law guardian) for nearly 20 years.
My philosophy can be more fully explored in the essays on my website:www.MausertForFamilyCourt.com. I believe in minimizing litigation by using mediation more. I believe that the best interests of children should be paramount, that adult litigants should be offered any assistance possible to get through the process with the least amount of harm to the children. Litigants & attorneys should be treated with dignity & respect regardless of gender, race or economics. A Family Court Judge should author decisions that are upheld on appeal as much as possible. The fewer mistakes, the better for the children.
This court deserves more of the judicial system's resources, not less. It's environment should be user friendly, accommodate children, & be as stress free as possible.
I am a husband father of 4. My own family experience has helped me as an attorney. I believe it has helped prepare me to be judge.
