Candidate Biography
Personal Statement |
- I graduated from Georgetown University (A.B., 1969) and Columbia Law School (1972). I am running as an independent candidate. I was Hudson City Judge (1980 – 1983) and Columbia County and Family Court Judge (1984 – 2002), and in every prior election I circulated independent nominating petitions, just as I am doing in the present election. While the office of City Judge is part-time under law, I will give to it a full-time mentality and availability, just as I did when I was City Judge previously. I am paying my own campaign expenses, just as I have done in previous elections. I am running on my record and reputation, built of quietly and steadily over nearly 25 years as a judge, as a decent person and a fair, discerning and independent judge.
