Candidate Biography
Personal Statement |
- I am the Surrogate's Court Judge of Rockland County and also a full-time Acting Justice of the Supreme Court. I was assigned approximately 440 civil cases last December plus a 75% intake of new cases. My current caseload is approximately 300 cases in Supreme Court. I am also one of the judges assigned to the newly-created Integrated Domestic Violence Court in Rockland County. Prior to being elected Surrogate, I was a full-time Principal Court Attorney in Rockland County handling thousands of Supreme Court cases with my judge. I worked in Supreme Court on these cases from 1984-2005. I have lectured frequently at Continuing Legal Education seminars for attorneys sponsored by the Rockland Bar Association and the New York State Bar Association. I was an adjunct professor teaching paralegal students at Long Island University and Rockland Community College for many years.
I ask that you consider me for election on November 6th and please review my credentials. Thank you.
