REPORTING INSTRUCTIONS FOR THE TRIAL TERM COMMENCING...

These reporting instructions are updated daily after 5:00 p.m. If the message for your term is not updated, please call the recorded message at (518) 285-6123 after 5:00 pm for reporting instructions.
1).... There are no jurors required to appear on Wednesday, January 22, 2014.
Since all trial activity has been resolved for this week, the jurors serving the January 21, 2014 term are dismissed. All jurors that were available to serve will be credited with good service and ineligible for future service for a 6 year period.

PLEASE BE AWARE: The New York State Court System does not ask citizens for financial information such as credit card, bank account, social security numbers or personal information such as the names and ages of your family members by phone. Do not provide this kind of information to anyone claiming to represent the court system. Please contact our office at (518) 285-6123, if you receive this type of call.
All trial jurors are on “standby” and report for service only when instructed by means of a recorded message. Each trial juror is instructed to call the Commissioner of Jurors office 518-285-6123 the Saturday or Sunday before their term begins, and after 5:00 p.m. every evening thereafter for the entire term. A recorded message will inform you by juror ID # if you need to report, where and at what time. Daily reporting instructions can also be found on our website at: www.nyjuror.gov.
There are no designated parking lots available. On-street parking in downtown Troy is either metered or has 2 hour restrictions. However, you may park south of Ferry Street with no meters or restrictions. Please observe the signs for areas which prohibit parking (street cleaning on Fridays). If available, jurors are encouraged to use CDTA bus transportation. For further information, please call CDTA at 482-8822 or visit www.cdta.org
Please note: Any parking violations you receive from the City of Troy should be addressed at Troy City Hall, Treasurer's Office, 433 River Street, Suite 5001,Troy NY. This information is available on the face of the ticket or by visiting their website at www.troyny.gov.
There is no reimbursement for transportation fares, parking fees or parking violations.
If an emergency prevents you from reporting, please call our office at 518-285-6123 after 8:30 a.m. on the day you are to report.
The usual reporting time for jury duty is 8:30 a.m. Dismissal times vary according to court activity. Occasionally, you may be required to stay past 5:00 p.m.
Wireless internet is available in the Rensselaer County Courthouse-Mezzanine Level, Jury Assemblyroom.
NYS Court Officers are present at the entrance and throughout the Court facilities. You are required to pass through a magnetometer. Please allow sufficient time for this process. Weapons and other dangerous instruments are prohibited in court facilities. Your cooperation is appreciated in this effort to keep our facilities safe.
The County Courthouse entrance is located on Second Street. The doors open to the public at 8:30 am.
There are no food vendors available in the County Courthouse. However, there are several eateries within a short walking distance. Vending machines are available on the 1st floor. Food and beverages are not allowed in the courtrooms.
Verification of Attendance:
If an employer requires proof of service, verification of attendance is available in the Commissioner of Jurors office (Mezzanine Level). This verification is completed and signed by Court staff upon the jurors’ dismissal.
