All February 24th jurors are excused as the trial for which they were chosen will not take place.
All February 24th jurors who made themselves available–that is, did not ask for a postponement prior to the trial date– can take advantage of the four-year good service deferral by sending Part A of his or her summons to: Commissioner of Jurors, 401 Union Street, Hudson, NY, 12534, within ten days of the trail date.
Part A need not be filled out. Those prospective February 24th jurors who do not return this paperwork will be returned to the jury pool and called again at random.
All prospective February 24th jurors should call 828-0753 the weekend before the trial date to see when and if their attendance is required.
Jury related messages may be left at 518-267-3160 after the recorded message is concluded.
When leaving a message, include your name, nine-digit juror index number and, slowly and clearly, your telephone number.
We have jury related activities taking place in three different venues so it is likely a message will be necessary. A live person will return your calls.
Messages may also be left for the Commissioner of Juror's Office at www.nyjuror.gov.

All trial jurors are on standby and report to the Columbia County Courthouse only when instructed to do so by means of recorded instructions and/or a website message at www.nyjuror.gov. The message will refer to you by juror number. Please report promptly at the time that has been indicated in the message. The telephone call-in number is: (518) 828-0753.
The main parking lot is on Allen Street behind the courthouse. You may also park in appropriate spaces along the streets. Please observe the signs for areas which prohibit parking.
If an illness or emergency prevents you from reporting, please call our office at (518) 828-0753 after 8:00 a.m., on the day you are to report.
Court normally operates form 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., with a lunch hour and breaks throughout the day.
The main entrance of the courthouse opens at 9:00 a.m. A magnetometer is in place in the courthouse, and jurors are not exempted from the screening process. Weapons or dangerous instruments of any kind are prohibited in the courthouse. Your cooperation and patience is appreciated in this effort to keep our facility safe.
Meals are your own responsibility. Vending machines for softdrinks and candy are located on the 1st floor of the courthouse. There are also restaurants and fast food establishments within a mile of the courthouse. You are free to bring your own lunch. No food or drink is allowed in the courtrooms.
Pay phones are located on the 1st floor of the courthouse. Sworn jurors should ask a court officer for an available telephone.
