Candidate Biography
Personal Statement
  • In my fourteen years on the Supreme Court Bench, I have adjudicated a wide variety of complex civil and criminal matters. I believe I have earned the reputation for being a well qualified, prepared, hardworking, fair and compassionate judge. My Court is a positive, efficient and user-friendly place for attorneys to practice their profession and litigants to present their cases. My prior work (trial) experience as an Assistant District Attorney and Bureau Chief (eight years); private practice (eighteen years including Assigned Counsel and Volunteer Lawyer trial work); municipal law as Town Attorney and Town Supervisor; and appellate practice prepared me well for the Bench. In 2005, I received the Outstanding Jurist Award from the Erie County Bar Association's Matrimonial and Family Law Committee. I pledge to continue to bring my varied experience, strong work ethic and commitment to fairness to my second term. I am the only incumbent Supreme Court candidate running for re-election this year. I respectfully ask for your vote.
