Personal Statement
  • A 1988 graduate of Brooklyn Law School, I have an M.A. (1968) and a B.A. (1964) in Political Science from St. John's University. I received the Alfred E. Smith Political Science Award and a Ford Foundation sponsored New York State Senate internship. I lectured and written in the areas of government, public administration, not-for profit organization management and law related subjects at Long Island University's Graduate School of Business and Public Administration, CUNY's New York City College of Technology and Medgar Evers College. I chair two Brooklyn Bar Association committees, am an officer of the CUNY Tech Foundation; and a member of the Board of Trustees of the Brooklyn Public LIbary where I chair a committee. I am a Brooklyn Law School mentor. I am the recipient of the Nettie Cox Distriguished Service Award for dedication to humanity and service from Greater New York American Red Cross - Brooklyn and the American Red Cross Northeast Mid-Atlantic Region Pride Award given to volunteers who make a powerful and positive impression on others. I am a lifelong resident of Brooklyn.
