Candidate Biography
Personal Statement
  • I am running for City Court Judge to maintain the sense of fairness and trust that has been the hallmark of our city court for many years, and to continue my efforts to maintain the quality of life for those who live in the City. I started my career twenty years ago as an Assistant District Attorney in Suffolk County. I then spent nearly four years in private practice representing corporate and private clients in State and Federal Courts across the country. I returned to public service, and to law enforcement, when I was appointed Deputy Counsel for the New York State Board of Elections. I then left the Board to begin my four-year tenure as Saratoga Springs City Attorney. At the same time I opened an office in the city to resume my private practice. I grew up in Saratoga Springs, as did my father and grandfather, and I returned in 1991 to raise my children and to become involved in the public life of the city. Being City Court Judge would provide me with an excellent opportunity to use and share my unique insight and passion for the law and for the community to make a positive difference in the lives of people who may appear before me in City Court.
