Personal Statement
  • I have been found "Well Qualified" for the position of Second District Court Judge. Administering justice in a fair and just manner requires an even temperment, patience, wisdom and judgment. My experience as both an attorney a military officer with world wide service has well prepared me. I serve as law secretary to Acting Supreme Court Justice Jerald Carter for the last 10 years. Prior to that, I served as law secretary to County Court Judge Jack Mackston. I have served as a court attorney in the Nassau County District Court law department and traffic prosecutor. I have over 19 years of military service in the United States Army and Army Reserve. My rank is Major, JAG Corps. I have served in Iraq, Bosnia, Germany, Panama, and Guatemala. I served as a legal advisor to the Iraqi Special Tribunal. I worked alongside Iraqi investigative judges in preparing the prosecution's case against Saddam Hussein and other members of his regime. I am a lifelong resident of Seaford with my wife, Tracy and our three boys. I have been assistant coach for CYO basketball, lacrosse, soccer and the Little League. I am a member of the American Legion and other community organizations.
