Personal Statement
  • “Approved” – Association of the Bar of the City of New York; “Highly Approved” – Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual & Transgender Law Association of Greater New York; “Well Qualified” – Metropolitan Black Bar Association/Joint Minority Bar Association Screening Panel. Endorsed by The New York Times and The Daily News. I have dedicated my legal career to public service, appearing before the courts as an attorney for the City of New York and working for judges of the New York State Court of Appeals and Supreme Court. Outside of work, I am a member of the New York City Bar Assn. and the New York County Lawyers Assn. For many years, I have volunteered as an arbitrator in Small Claims Court and at the Walk-in Legal Clinic of the Lesbian, Gay & Transgender Law Association. I have also volunteered with New York Cares, most recently tutoring high school students. I have been found “most highly qualified” by three Independent Judicial Screening Panels in 2010 & 2011. This year, I have also been endorsed by Rep. Jerrold Nadler, State Senator Tom Duane, Assembly Members Linda Rosenthal and Richard Gottfried, Council Speaker Christine Quinn and Borough President Scott Stringer, among others.
