Candidate Biography
Personal Statement
  • I am honored to have been designated as "Highly Qualified" to become a judge by the Democratic County-Wide and Fifth Judicial Independent Judicial Screening Panels. I have also been deemed "Approved" to become a judge by the New York City Bar Association. I am a cum laude graduate of New England College, Henniker New Hampshire and a graduate of George Washington University Law School. I also received a Masters of Divinity from Union Theological Seminary. As a practicing attorney for over 20 years, I have worked as a litigation associate for Wilson, Elser, Moskowitz and Dicker and have served as a Principal Court Attorney for the Appellate Term, First Department. In addition to my legal experience, I have dedicated my free time to Community Service. Until October, 2011, I was the Chairman of Community Board 10 in Manhattan and was a member of the Board of Trustees of New England College. I am presently a member of the Mid-Manhattan Branch of th NAACP, and a former Board member of Mothers" Voices, an AIDS education organization. I reside in Harlem with my partner and our two children and am dedicated to bringing the best of both my professional and personal experience to the Bench.
