Candidate Biography
Personal Statement
  • As a sitting Judge I have exhibited the temperament necessary to insure that those that appear in the Court are heard and treated fairly. I have practiced in each of the six counties encompassing the District and currently have offices in three of the counties. As a resident of Jefferson County I am the only candidate that would ensure the long tradition of having a resident Judge in each of the Counties in the District. I am in the courtroom almost daily which places me in a position to know the courtroom but more importantly to know the people that will be coming before the court. As an attorney I have handled a variety of cases including over 300 trials. I am aware of how a courtroom should run. As Judge, I have served as a lecturer at various judicial training seminars and have been appointed a mentor judge and Acting City Court Judge by the Office of Court Administration. As a Judge I have handled a variety of civil matters seeking from $50.00 to over $1,000.000.00. I understand it is not important the type of matter or the amount involved, the participant wants to be treated with respect. I have done that and will continue to do so as a Supreme Court Judge.
