Candidate Biography
Personal Statement
  • My practice has been exclusively dedicated to trial and litigation work over my career, in which I have conducted dozens of jury and non-jury civil trials. I have represented the Commission on Judicial Conduct to protect its work in policing the ethical conduct of judges and represented judges when they were sued for trying to place restrictions on attorney advertising. I have volunteered my services to decide cases in Small Claims Court and to bring legal advice to the poor. In addition to having my qualifications evaluated by the Independent Judicial Election Qualification Commission, I have voluntarily submitted to assessments by every bar association that has screened the candidates. These include the Oneida County Bar Association, the Onondaga County Bar Association, the Lewis County Bar Association and the Central New York Women’s Bar Association. Each has found me qualified to serve as a justice of the New York Supreme Court.
