Personal Statement
  • Ed Borrelli has presided over a wide range of proceedings as a former Yonkers City Court Judge and a current Special Referee in the Supreme Court, Westchester County. These include civil and criminal jury and non-jury trials, high-exposure Supreme Court civil matters including parental and grand-parent custody, visitation, child support, domestic violence and Mental Hygiene Law Guardianship compliance enforcement. In addition, Ed has over 30 years of legal experience training, counseling and advising New York Judges and Justices and continues to serve as a regular faculty member at the NYS Judicial Institute. Ed also serves on the Judicial Ethics "hotline" where, on a daily basis, he advises NY judges concerning proper ethical conduct. Ed’s candidacy is supported by endorsements from numerous organizations representing a broad spectrum of the community he will serve. They include the Westchester/Putnam Central Labor Body AFL-CIO, the Affiliated Police Associations, Local 628 Firefighters and Asian Americans of Rockland County. He has been found "Well Qualified" for Supreme Court by the Dutchess County Bar Association and the Westchester Women's Bar Association.
