Candidate Biography
Personal Statement
  • I am experienced, qualified and ready to serve. If elected, I will make history as the first woman elected to serve on the Supreme Court in the Fourth Judicial District. My experience, both as an attorney, a public servant and a businesswoman, goes back more than thirty years. Perhaps most significant is my current position as Confidential Law Clerk to the Honorable Stephen A. Ferradino, Justice of the New York State Supreme Court, where I have spent nine years negotiating cases, researching issues, writing proposed decisions, and engaging in daily contact with attorneys and the public. As a certified mediator, I have saved parties from protracted litigation and the emotional drain and fiscal expense of a trial. If elected, I will treat parties who come before me fairly and with respect. My public service includes working in the offices of the Public Defender and District Attorney. I was a trial attorney and returned to the public sector in 1999 as Deputy Counsel for the NYS Division of Parole. I am former President of the Saratoga Bar Association, a volunteer for Saratoga Community Hospice and a graduate of the Saratoga and NYS leadership programs.
