Candidate Biography
Personal Statement
  • As Principal Court Attorney to the Supreme Court for 12 years, I have worked to achieve justice in the courtroom. Prior to joining the court system, I had a career as a private attorney appearing before the various state courts. I also served as an assistant public defender litigating in Family Court. In addition to my professional responsibilities, I am involved in my community and many charities and am dedicated to the legal profession as an active member of the New York State Bar Association, Women's Bar Association (chapter president) and the Oneida County Bar Association. I have been endorsed by the CNY Labor Council and IBEW as well as other unions. Not only do I have the qualifications to serve as a Judge, I believe I have a balanced viewpoint and proper judicial temperment to do the job well. I have the experience, dedication and commitment to be an excellent Supreme Court Justice, and to handle each case with personal attention, fairly and impartially, and with respect for all parties involved. I have been a lifelong resident of Oneida County and currently reside in New Hartford with my husband, Bill, and three children, William, Rowan and Grayson.
