Candidate Biography
Personal Statement
  • For the past six years I have had the privilege of serving as a District Court Judge for the Town of Smithtown. It has been the experience of a lifetime. I hope to continue serving my community in this capacity for many years to come. These are complex times. Our court system deals with some of the most difficult social problems our society faces, including the explosion of heroin abuse. Our community needs a District Court Judge who understands the social fabric of Smithtown and Suffolk County. You deserve a Judge who is honest, fair and decisive. The Judge you elect should have the experience, the integrity, the temperament and the confidence to make difficult decisions. I believe I possess all of those qualities. I am committed to making our court system work for the People of Smithtown. I have served my community as a Board Member of my synagogue, as a CYO basketball coach and as a mentor to high school students. I have been elected by my colleagues as the President of our Judges Association. I am supported and endorsed by the Independence Party, CSEA, the Court officers Assoc., the Probation Officers Assoc. and the Court Employees Assoc. to name a few.
