Personal Statement
  • Joy Watson and has been a practicing attorney for 25 years, 20 years as a Nassau County Prosecutor, Sex Crimes-Domestic Violence Chief and Major Offense/Homicide Deputy Chief and as Principal Law Clerk to a Supreme Court Justice. She is currently Deputy Nassau Comptroller, of Counsel to Sepe & O'Mahony in Rockville Centre and on the faculty at Molloy College. She received the highest qualification rating to be a Supreme Court Justice from the Nassau Bar Association. Joy Watson is admitted to practice in New York State, the United States Supreme and NY Federal Courts for Southern and Eastern Districts of NY. She graduated from Pepperdine University School of Law and The University at Albany. Joy Watson serves her community as President of the Courthouses Kiwanis Club, Immediate Past President of the Nassau Women's Bar, VP of Irish-Americans in Government, Mentor at Hempstead Middle School, Board Member of Big Brothers Big Sisters and Member of the Fraternal Order of Police. Joy Watson has been endorsed by Suffolk and Nassau Law Enforcement, CSEA Region One and Local 338, among others. She lives in Hempstead with Step-sons Roger and Nick and husband Tom Mancusi.
