Candidate Biography
Personal Statement
  • I have dedicated the last 23 years to obtaining the professional qualifications and experience necessary for this position. As an Assistant Attorney General, I defended the interests of the people of the State of New York, and obtained unparalleled trial experience. I tried thousands of cases before Judges all across the State. As counsel to the District's top Justice, the Honorable Thomas Van Strydonck, I was honored to work with, and for, many of the best Judges throughout the Seventh Judicial District. In addition, I was appointed by the Honorable Jonathan Lippman to hear and decide matters in Supreme Court. Currently, as counsel to the Hon. Renee Forgensi Minarik, I process, mediate, and confer on decisions relating to cases brought against the State of New York in the Court of Claims. In over a decade "behind the bench", I have obtained a rich judicial experience. I have been rated "Highly Qualified" by GRAWA, "Highly Qualified and Sensitive to Minority Issues" by the Rochester Black Bar Association, and "Qualified" by the Monroe County Bar Association. I have been endorsed by the Rochester & Genesee Valley Area Labor Federation AFL-CIO, and Teamsters Local 118.
