Candidate Biography
Personal Statement
  • I have served as Sullivan County Family Court Judge for the past 20 years. I am also assigned as an Acting Supreme Court Justice where I have handled up to 35% of the Supreme Court cases pending in Sullivan County and have been assigned 6 terms as Part I Trial Judge and now 7 terms as Duty Judge in the Supreme Court. Although my obligations have expanded, I remain committed to the Family Court. In addition to my day-to-day obligations on the bench, I have had the great pleasure of being a member of the faculty at Judicial Training Seminars for both current and new judges, as well as for the Law Clerks and Court Attorneys who work in the court system. I have also been honored to serve as a faculty member for the continuing legal education of our hardworking Attorneys for the Children, who represent the interests of the children who come before the Family Court. I am also a member of the Advisory Committee for the Office of the Attorneys For Children for the Appellate Division Third Dept. In a time of reduced government resources, I remain committed to improve the efficiency of our courts and to provide the highest level of service to the public that we can.
