Candidate Biography
Personal Statement
  • As a practicing lawyer for over thirty years, I have appeared in County Court on a regular basis in hundreds of cases. I have been involved in several major felony trials and homicide trials in County Court. I was a member of the Onondaga County Bar Association Board of Directors from 2006 and in 2011 I was chosen as Vice President of our County Bar Association. As a Village Justice for nearly a dozen years, I have presided over countless cases hopefully, fairly and impartially without advocating for one side or the other, as a lawyer does. In 2009 I was elected President of our Onondaga County Magistrate's Association. I am a member of the Judicial Education Advisory Committee and I have served as a mentor judge for other Town and Village Court judges since 2007. I have taught lawyers and judges at theOnondaga County Bar Association, Onondaga County Magistrate's Association and New York State Magistrate's Association. I have been a speaker/lecturer at Syracuse University and local high schools. I have been active in my community as a member of the Board of Directors of the Fayetteville-Manlius Little League, a baseball and basketball coach and active member of my church.
