Personal Statement
  • Prior to my appointment as Principal Law Clerk to Justice Marber on 1/1/07, I was in private practice for over 23 years concentrating in the areas of Family, Criminal, Landlord/Tenant, Real Estate, Personal Injury, Bankruptcy and Wills and Estates. I am a member of the Nassau County, Women’s Bar, NYS, Jewish Lawyers Bar Associations and Nassau-Suffolk Trial Lawyers Assoc. I am President of the Jericho School Board and President of my Civic Association. I served as Chair of the Oyster Bay Environmental Control Commission and was the founder of the Society to Preserve Underhill, The L.I. Drinking Water Coalition and The L.I. Environmental Voters Forum. I have received numerous awards for my environmental and community efforts including the Environmentalist of the Year award from the L.I. Sierra Club, the Community Service Award from the Jericho/Brookville Lions Club, the Smart Growth Award from Vision L.I., the Theodore Roosevelt Preservation Award from the Old Westbury College Foundation and the Paul Harris Fellow Award from the Syosset-Woodbury Rotary Club. I was an enrollee of the L.I. Works Coalition’s Workforce Builders Honor Roll for several years as a student mentor.
