Candidate Biography
Personal Statement
  • Since my election to the Nassau County District Court, I have earned a reputation as an outstanding jurist and legal scholar who treats every person who appears before my court with dignity and respect. I am very hard working and listen carefully to all sides of each case to make sure that everyone who comes before me receives fair treatment and a decision in accordance with the law. I have authored over one hundred and fifty decisions which have been published in the New York Official Reports on Westlaw and New York Law Journal. As a Judge with eleven years experience I have been rated "Well Qualified" by the Nassau County Bar Association. In 2010, I was also given the position of "Acting County Court Judge" which covers a Felony Part in Nassau County Court. Prior to being elected a Judge in 2001, I was a practicing attorney on Long Island for 24 years with an emphasis on litigation and general practice.
