Candidate Biography
Personal Statement
  • I have been a judge of the Nassau County District Court for nearly 12 years. I am currently assigned as an Acting County Court Judge to the Felony Sex Offense and Domestic Violence part of the County Court. During my career I have been a trial lawyer in private practice, law clerk to a County Court Judge/Acting Supreme Court Justice, executive in charge of court administration for all NYS Courts in Nassau County and, most recently, a judge. I have been active in many community organizations such as: Kiwanis, Knights of Columbus, SYAC Girl’s Softball and the Syosset Senior Day Care Center. In addition to my judicial duties, I am an Adjunct Professor of Law at Hofstra University, Zarb School of Business as a lecturer on Business Law and an Adjunct Professor of Criminal Law at Long Island University, CW Post on the undergraduate and graduate level. I have lectured at various continuing legal education programs for the New York State Bar Association, the Nassau County Bar Association and Hofstra University. I am in the second year of my two year term as President of the NYS District Court Judges Association.
