Personal Statement
  • I have served as a Nassau County District Court Judge since 2004. I have been found “Well Qualified” to be a County Court Judge by the Nassau County Bar Association and the Independent Judicial Commission. Upon taking office in 2004, I was given the responsibility of establishing Nassau County’s first Domestic Violence Misdemeanor Court. I successfully presided over the Court for three years. Since September of 2006, I have presided over all of Nassau County’s Driving While Intoxicated hearings and trials. I have been the trial Judge for over 100 criminal jury trials. Twenty of my written decisions have been published in the New York Law Journal and State Reporter. Prior to serving as a Judge, I practiced law for 15 years. I served as a Nassau County Prosecutor for four years. I subsequently practiced as a trial attorney in the areas of Federal and State Criminal and Civil litigation. I was the managing partner of a Wall Street law firm. I am a former television Commentator for Court TV and Fox News.
