Candidate Biography
Personal Statement
  • I believe that my service as a criminal prosecutor has prepared me to be a Yonkers City Court Judge because of the vast number of criminal cases that the City Court, in the fourth largest city in New York, handles on a day to day basis. My experience in prosecuting burglaries, robberies, drug crimes, sexual assaults and gun crimes, gives me the familiarity with the penal law and criminal procedure to be an effective City Court Judge. In addition my experience working in dispute resolution for the AIG Corporation has given me great insight into how to resolve complicated matters between parties, which is crucial in order to be an effective judge on the civil side of the City Court which deals with small claims, landlord tenant and other areas of civil lititgation. I am the only candidate for Yonkers City Court that has been found qualified by the Independent Judicial Election Qualification Committee as on September 14, 2007. I have been married for 32 years and have two sons, Michael and Brian. I have lived in the Park Hill for 26 years. I was a PTA President and former President and Executive Board Member of the Yonkers Lawyers Association.
