Candidate Biography
Personal Statement
  • I believe that I have the temperament, experience and knowledge to be a fine judge. I grew up in the public housing projects of Brooklyn, living until I was ten in the Gowanus housing projects and then moving to the Coney Island projects. My Dad was a factory worker and my Mom worked for the Federal Reserve Bank. I attended parochial elementary schools, Abraham Lincoln High School, Brooklyn College and Georgetown Law School. Upon graduation from Law School, I returned to Brooklyn. Since graduation, I have worked at a variety of law firms where I have practiced in the area of commercial litigation. I am a partner at Reed Smith, a 1,500 person international law firm where I manage the NY litigation group. I have worked as pro-bono attorney for the Flatbush Development Corporation and the Federation of Italian-American Organization and have been active in politics serving as a delegate to two National Democratic conventions. I have worked hard to give back to the Community and the City. At the age of 58, I believe I would bring the wealth of experience and knowledge that I have gained to the bench. I ask you to consider supporting my candidacy.
