Personal Statement
  • I have 20 years experience as a Judge in the 8th Judicial District. I was elected to the City Court of Buffalo in 1987 and to the NYS Supreme Court in 1993. I have presided over criminal and civil cases and currently preside over medical malpractice and personal injury cases. I have received excellent ratings from 4 Bar Associations and endorsements from several labor unions. I have served in leadership positions at the local, state and national level. I have received numerous awards and citations, including the Distinguished Alumna Award from U.B. Law School and the YWCA Leadership Award. I was inducted into the WNY Women's Hall of Fame in 2001.
