Candidate Biography
Personal Statement
  • I am the Schuyler County District Attorney, having started in this office 15 years ago as an intern. I am in my tenth year in this position have always tried to do what was right instead of seeking convictions. It is my policy that everyone is to be treated fairly and with respect. I have tried hard to ensure that defendants are adequately represented by counsel. As District Attorney, I have handled thousands of criminal prosecutions including murders, rapes and robberies. I have maintained a felony conviction rate of over 90%. While prosecution of serious cases is a priority, I have also initiated community based programs targeting underage drinking, teenage sexual abuse, and illegal drug sales. I have significant civil experience in NYS Supreme Court, having represented hundreds of clients there. I have tried many cases with exceptional results. I am married to my high school sweetheart and have two beautiful children (6 and 3). I am dedicated to my family, my community and to public service. I have uncompromised integrity. These qualities combined with my legal experience make me highly qualified to be a Supreme Court Judge.
