Candidate Biography
Personal Statement
  • In my private law practice, I have dedicated my career to Family Court, Surrogate Court and Supreme Court civil litigation. As a Town Justice for twelve years I have dedicated my life to the efficient handling of both criminal and civil law cases. In both private practice and on the bench as the Town of Bethel Judge I am committed to the efficient and judicious handling of the exact type of cases that I will confront if I am elected to the County Court bench. My campaign is endorsed by the New York State Police, the Sullivan County Sheriff's Deputies, United States Representative Maurice Hinchey and the CWA workers local 1120. Here are some of the things my supporters have written about me. “Cindy Barber has proven herself a bright and capable town judge and I am delighted to support her for the position of county judge. I have no doubt that Cindy will be a terrific county judge.” United States Representative Maurice Hinchey. “Our organization is proud to endorse Cindy Barber. Judge Barber has the character and compassion to make tough but fair decisions as Sullivan County Court judge.” Thomas Mungeer, ,New York State Troopers
