Candidate Biography
Personal Statement
  • I have been an attorney for 15 years, the last 3 1/2 years as Counsel to the Brooklyn Borough President. From 1992 until 2000, as an attorney at South Brooklyn Legal Services and the Legal Aid Society, Brooklyn Office for the Aging, I represented low-income tenants in Housing Court, seniors and persons with disabilities, individuals seeking Medicaid and low-income taxpayers. I am deeply committed to equal access to justice and, if elected to the Civil Court of the City of New York, I will treat everyone in my courtroom with dignity and respect and endeavor to ensure that every litigant has their day in court. I live with my family in Flatbush. I am active in my community and my nine-year-old daughter’s public school.
