Candidate Biography
Personal Statement
  • I am presently in my 14th year of judicial experience serving as the only full-time judge for the City of Kingston, presiding over approximately 400 cases per week. I have over 30 years experience as a practicing attorney, having recently closed my private law practice to assume the responsibilities of my present position. Nineteen months ago I established a Domestic Violence Court to address crimes of abuse, and I am especially committed to continuing my work there. I preside as an Acting County Court Judge each week over the Ulster County Regional Drug Treatment Court. I have the necessary experience and knowledge of my community to competently perform the serious work of City Court. Be assured of my integrity, my respect for people as well as the law, my compassion for those who are at a disadvantage, and my devotion to my community and to public service. I am grateful for the opportunity to serve, and I promise to bring all my experience, qualifications and abilities to the job of full-time City Court Judge.
