Candidate Biography
Personal Statement
  • A practicing attorney since 1994 and a public servant for over 20 years, I led the fight for civil rights legislation to end discrimination in New York City housing practices and helped enact hundreds of laws protecting our children and seniors. As commissioner for the Taxi and Limousine Commission, I set policy, heard appeals and voted on regulations to improve safety for drivers and passengers. I graduated cum laude from Brooklyn College, received a MSW from YU Wurzweiler School of Social Work, and earned a J.D. from Brooklyn Law School. My totality of experience will be a valuable asset.
