Personal Statement
  • Molly Fitzgerald, Esq. Molly Fitzgerald, Esq. is a partner in the Binghamton law firm of Smyk & Fitzgerald, LLP. Born and raised in Binghamton, NY, Molly received her undergraduate degree at Trinity College, Washington, D.C. in 1982, and her law degree from Catholic University in 1986. Molly was an associate in the Elmira law firm Ziff, Weiermiller & Hayden firm and taught law at Elmira College. In 1995, she returned to Binghamton where she has made her home ever since. Molly's practice has always focused on Supreme Court litigation. She has represented hundreds of clients in this arena, and has handled cases ranging from personal injury, labor, matrimonial, to contractual disputes. Molly's decision to run for the position of Supreme Court justice is rooted in her belief in our legal system, and her conviction that she has the experience and knowledge to enhance that system. She also strongly believes that the judiciary should be representative of the people that it serves. A working mom with three sons, Jack, age 21 is a senior at Binghamton University, PJ, age 18 is a freshman at Binghamton University and Dennis age 15 is a sophomore at Seton Catholic Central,
