Candidate Biography
Personal Statement
  • Married for 27 years to wife Deborah. Three children, Matt 23, Jon 21 and Becky 17 Family Court is unique in that every single case impacts a child's future. No other court can make that claim. Family court is largely about protecting our children and providing them with a safe and nurturing environment. It is also about helping families in crisis, both children and parents overcome their problems and achieve their potential. Nothing matters more than protecting our children. Often times the decision to be made is incredibly difficult, and at times heartbreaking, but a Family Court Judge must have the qualifications, experience and judgement to make those decisions. I have spent most of my career in Family Court. I believe that my experience well qualifies me for the Family Court Bench. I also firmly believe that the right judge can make a difference and I believe I have demonstrated that during my 20 years of Judicial experience in three different courts nd handling of over 90,000 cases. Monroe County Bar Association: Qualified Greater Rochester Association of Women Attorneys: Qualifed Rochester Black Bar Association: Highly Qualified .
