Personal Statement
  • Family Court 's purpose is to protect children. I have dedicated my legal career protecting children in Family Court. I have been a Law Guardian representing children in hundreds of cases in Monroe County Family Court and have handled thousands of cases of every type. As a result I am the most experienced candidate. I was the only candidate to receive the highest rating by the attorneys who know me best, both the Monroe County Bar Association and The Greater Rochester Association For Woman Attorneys - “Highly Qualified”. I was the only candidate to receive the Hon. Michael F. Dillon Law Guardian of the Year Award For Western New York, a Certificate of Recognition as a Law Guardian in Family Court from Democratic Assemblyman David Koon, and the 2006 New York State Bar Association Pro Bono Award. Endorsements were received from the Republican, Conservative, and Independence parties as well as the Federation of Child Protective Workers, Rochester Police Locust Club, Police Benevolent Association, Monroe County Sheriff’s Deputy’s Association, the Monroe County Law Enforcement Association, the Teamsters, Unite Here and Building Trades Unions.
